Our founder - Lynn Hudson

The choir was formed under the direction of Lynn Hudson, who continued to lead the choir for over 15 years. We owe everything the choir has achieved to her sense of purpose and her dedication to each and every member. Not only was she a talented musician, she had a unique warmth and humour which matched her conviction that everyone could (and should) benefit from singing in a choir.

When the choir became an independent organisation in 2023 and gained charitable status in 2024, it solidified Lynn’s vision for a choir which would have the freedom to tackle challenging repertoire in up to 4 or 5 parts, and where people would feel they belong without fear of trying something new. The choir’s aims reflect Lynn’s desire to make choral singing accessible to everyone whilst raising money for charitable causes.

Lynn passed away in March 2026 after suffering from cancer, during which her resilience, determination and enduring passion for the choir inspired us all.

Those who wish to sing always find a song, and Lynn helped so many to find their voice. Above all, sharing the joy of singing together is her legacy and will always be at the heart of CCC.
